明治19年（1886年）創業。横手市のシンボルである横手城の別名「阿櫻城」から命名。照井俊男杜氏は50年以上の経験を持つベテラン山内杜氏で、秋田流寒仕込みによる長期低温発酵で、まろやかでやさしい味わいの酒を醸す。
